About The Position

The Intern - Electrical Engineer position at Linde Engineering North America LLC offers an opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering to gain hands-on experience in developing electrical power distribution systems for large industrial applications. Interns will work closely with the electrical engineering team, learning about power calculations, electrical equipment, and software tools in a multi-discipline environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with colleagues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the electrical engineering team to develop electrical power distribution systems for large industrial applications.
• Learn power calculations and studies for electrical power systems using ETAP and/or SKM.
• Conduct load flow, voltage drop, motor starting, short circuit studies, relay coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Gain knowledge of protective relays and other software.
• Learn about electrical equipment including transformers, motors, switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Foster vendor relationships, dealing with quoting, drawing review, and bid evaluations.
• Work with Smart Plant 3D software.
