Job Description: We are seeking a high-performing Electrical & Computer Engineering Intern to support manufacturing and process engineering initiatives within a semiconductor environment. This role is ideal for students with previous hands-on internship or project experience in data analysis, process optimization, and programming. Support manufacturing and process engineering activities for semiconductor chip and wire assembly including testing and inspection processes. Analyze production and test data using tools such as Python, MATLAB, or MES systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and yield improvement opportunities. Develop and implement automated data reporting tools and scripts to streamline engineering workflows and decision-making. Apply Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., takt time analysis, process balancing) to improve production efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality) to troubleshoot issues related to process variation, electrical performance, and product reliability. Assist in the design and implementation of tooling, fixturing, and mistake-proofing solutions to support manufacturing processes. Participate in root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods and data-driven approaches. Create and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, reports, and work instructions (SOP).

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related disciplines
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or C#, including data analysis or software development projects.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, automation, or working with large datasets (e.g., APIs, CSV processing, or scripting workflows).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings.

Nice To Haves

  • Entering Junior or Senior academic year
  • Prior internship or project experience involving: Production data analysis, MES systems, or automated reporting
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools
  • Experienced with CAD tools or mechanical design for tooling/fixtures
  • Previous use of statistical analysis or process improvement methodologies
  • Exposure to semiconductor devices, electronics manufacturing, or hardware testing environments
  • Experience building scalable or robust code (error handling, performance optimization, or large data processing)
