Lanteris Space is currently seeking a motivated engineering intern to join the Electrical/Communication AIT (Assembly, Integration and Test) Directorate in Palo Alto, CA. Interns will work closely with multiple teams to construct and test spacecraft. Tasking will be tailored to the final candidate, and will include most, if not all these responsibilities: Developing and Implementing Cost-Effective Test HW & SW Solutions Executing Tests against a wide range of Test Environments and Flight Hardware Analyzing Test Data and Performing Initial Troubleshooting Integrating Electrical and Communication Subsystems into Spacecraft Lanteris Space is a leading provider of comprehensive space technologies, delivering innovative space solutions to government and commercial customers to solve problems on Earth and beyond. Minimum Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in a master's degree program in electrical, electronics, aerospace, mechanical design, materials, or industrial engineering or related discipline. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Preferred Qualifications: It would be amazing if you have experience with two or more of the following areas: General Strong verbal & written communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to work in a collaborative team Debugging and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with Electrical Hardware: Hands-on experience in electronic and/or RF design Printed circuit board (PCB) design Basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM and function generators Understanding of mathematics, physics, materials and chemistry as they relate to electrical circuits Familiarity with Electrical Design and Database Software Proficiency with databases, TCL, C++, VBA or Python. Familiarity with computer aided design tools such as SPICE, Verilog, VHDL, ADS, AWR or CST. Knowledge of microcomputers (Raspberry Pi / Arduino) Familiarity with Spacecraft Architecture Familiarity with satellite design and testing obtained through educational training and/or on-the-job experience in a related field. Familiarity with satellite command and telemetry. The base pay for this position within California is: $28.00 - $31.00 hourly The salary range listed is based on two years or more of completed studies. This range will vary based on the number of years of experience and work location.
