About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Listen to, transcribe, and summarize jail calls and recorded statements of defendants.
  • Compile, organize, and summarize case files.
  • Research criminal histories of defendants and prepare charts, diagrams, and other exhibits for court presentation.
  • Assist victim/witness advocates in preparing crime victims and witnesses for trial, ensuring they understand their rights under Wisconsin Statutes.
  • Review police reports and prepare criminal complaints under the supervision of assistant district attorneys.
  • Compile, organize, and summarize case files, providing discovery to defense attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research.
