Over these 10 weeks, interns will work 40 hours a week participating in impactful departmental projects that connect classroom learning to real-world corporate experience. Position Overview The Finance- Distribution team provides data analysis and financial reporting support to all departments within Distribution (Transportation, Warehousing, Cafeterias). As an intern, you’ll be assigned to help the team generate and distribute operational reports to various departments within Distribution, help with cloud coding enhancements and SharePoint improvements.

Requirements

  • must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or if graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or if graduating from a master’s degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
  • must be pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in data analysis, finance, business, computer programming or related field and be a current sophomore or above (rising junior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
  • basic skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python, R, or similar), SQL for data querying and manipulation and cloud-based data platforms (such as Databricks, Azure or similar), and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working
  • ability to manage time so that the priority of the activities determines the timing and amount of attention they receive
  • ability to perform arithmetic computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • ability to determine, apply, and perform necessary arithmetic operations to solve practical math problems
  • ability to inspect, cleanse and transform data from various sources with the goal of discovering useful information/trends, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making
  • ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents or on the computer, such as prices, quantity, weights, lists or data
  • ability to prepare clear, accurate, understandable, and professional written text in English, using appropriate level of detail for the intended audience, and following the basic rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation to convey information

Responsibilities

  • generate and distribute operational reports (e.g., Outbound and Inbound On time deliveries, Utilization, Efficiency and KPI reporting) for Transportation areas (e.g., Private Fleet, outside carriers, business development)
  • assist in current data modernization efforts with report code development
  • Power BI visualization improvements
  • assist in team’s SharePoint improvements
