About The Position

The Digital Solutions – Applications Developer Internship at Arcadis offers students the opportunity to work alongside experienced developers to support and enhance client-facing, web-based applications. As an intern, you will participate in real projects, gain hands-on technical experience, and develop professional skills in a collaborative environment. The internship can be based in Houston, TX.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of SQL and web-based application development.
• Exposure to or coursework in JavaScript (and libraries such as jQuery), web programming languages, and databases.
• Seeking a Masters or Bachelors degree
• Basic understanding of program design and software development processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mobile application development
• Experience with reporting tools (SSRS or Crystal Reports)
• Experience with geospatial APIs (Google Maps, ESRI JS)
• Adaptability

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance web-based applications under supervision.
• Write and modify scripts using Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Assist with maintaining and updating source code repositories.
• Follow established documentation and development standards.
• Participate in the creation and execution of test plans.
• Track, report, and help resolve software bugs.
• Gain experience with CSS frameworks like Bootstrap.
• Use source control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, TFS) for version management.
• Learn and apply web programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, PHP, .NET).
