GM Financial is the wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors and is headquartered in Fort Worth, U.S. We are a global provider of auto finance solutions, with operations in North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific region. Through our long-standing relationships with auto dealers, we offer attractive retail financing and lease programs to meet the needs of each customer. We also offer commercial lending products to dealers to help them finance and grow their businesses. Our program offers 11 weeks of work experience (May 27- August 7, 2026), executive and peer networking opportunities, independent and team project experiences, philanthropic activities, career development, and the opportunity to apply for full-time career positions.

  • Modeling with expertise in forecasting, optimization, data mining, analysis, and analyzing complex datasets
  • Conducting studies with the use of descriptive and supervised machine learning methods and advanced statistical methods using innovative and the latest advanced technique and algorithms
  • Summarizing, reporting, and providing polished presentations to business leaders
  • Performing research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data
  • Assisting in analyzing key metrics and performing data analysis
  • Building technical knowledge to support research and analytic responsibilities including advanced techniques and algorithms
  • Conducting research projects, incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarizing findings, developing recommendations, and effectively communicating to leadership the impact to the business
  • Developing and applying algorithms or models to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations or answering business questions
  • Ensuring that the delivered products meet the business needs of the company
  • Partnering with and providing recommendations to business leadership on the appropriate application of analytics to business strategies and effectively communicating analysis and implications to senior leadership
  • Must be a current student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship
  • Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) overall GPA
  • Junior, Senior, or Masters classification preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required
  • Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team setting
  • Previous internships are considered a plus
