Requirements

  • Graduate student (Master’s preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Python, SQL, Machine Learning, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLM), NLP, RAG concepts, data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, cloud-based ML workflows.
  • Must be able to commute and work on-site 5 days a week.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university
  • Applicants must be authorized to work on a full-time basis for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of any type of employment-based visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to decipher technical documents with experience reading engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • The intern will develop an AI/ML solution to help reduce operations ticket resolution time by about 35% and use LLMs in the PULSE project to identify issues before they reach customers.
  • The intern will work on building and testing ML models that help reduce operations ticket resolution time.
  • They will also prototype an LLM workflow within the PULSE project to identify issues earlier.
  • This includes working with ticket data, logs, and other operational inputs, preparing datasets, testing different model approaches, and building a small RAG-style component for early-issue detection.
  • The intern will document their work and support basic integration efforts with the engineering teams.
  • They’ll learn how AI and LLMs are applied to real operational problems.
  • They’ll work with production datasets, understand how models move from prototype to deployment, and get hands-on experience with building and tuning an LLM/RAG workflow.
  • They’ll also get exposure to cross-team collaboration with data engineering and product teams.
