Over these 10 weeks, interns will work 40 hours a week participating in impactful departmental projects that connect classroom learning to real-world corporate experience. Position Overview Publix Technology is a team of over 2,000 associates dedicated to providing the highest level of technical innovation and customer satisfaction in the industry. Within the department, you will have several responsibilities that may include the following:

Requirements

  • must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May
  • must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or information security and be a current junior or above (rising senior as of the program start in Summer 2026)
  • basic knowledge of M365 tools, such as SharePoint, Office, Copilot and Power Platform
  • basic knowledge of computer networks and operating systems
  • basic knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, C++, C#, or Python
  • basic knowledge of hacking techniques that leverage macros and email attachments as attack vec

Responsibilities

  • Review vulnerability risk acceptance forms (VRAFs) to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with applying VRAFs in the vulnerability management tools.
  • Identify systems not being credentialed with scans and troubleshoot issues.
  • Low level scripting and dashboard creation.
  • Conduct a deep dive into the vulnerabilities found in the lab environment.
  • Collaborate on vulnerability integration (universal dashboard project).
  • Repair non-functional Nessus agents.
