Intern, Corporate ERM
About The Position
The intern will work with the Analytics department within the Enterprise Risk Management division located in Morristown, NJ. Within the ERM team, the intern will learn about a variety of exposures within the more than $5 billion portfolio of insurance premiums written across C&F. The intern will be trained in principles of aggregation management, underwriting audits, and exception reporting. Additionally, the student will spend time with our various ERM teams including: The reinsurance team purchasing portfolio protections The claims teams handling complex litigation The cat modeling teams utilizing sophisticated software to simulate hurricanes, earthquakes and terrorist attacks
Requirements
- Current University GPA of 3.5 or above in a Data/Data Science related field
- Analytical, investigative, communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating monthly limit and exception reports
- Provide support for aggregating and analyzing data for Risk Committee meetings and related projects
- Research industry trends that could impact C&F
- Assist with aggregating audit scores in corporate audit software
- Assist with various cat modeling reports such as Terrorism Risk Report and individual account modeling
- Assist with various ad-hoc ERM tasks
