The Experience: Project Scopes: Each intern is assigned a specific project that contributes value to the Company. What You’ll Be Doing: As a Contract Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities through supplier evaluations. You will compare suppliers based on cost, quality, and lead times, collect cost data, and build models in Excel to support sourcing decisions. You’ll also help streamline product testing to ensure quality and performance standards are met. You may assist with technical documentation and other manufacturing engineering initiatives as needed. The internship concludes with a final presentation to leadership, highlighting your impact on cost savings, supported by data and sourcing recommendations. What You’ll Learn: Through mentorship, guided reviews, collaboration with the engineering team, and continuous feedback, you will learn: Supplier evaluation, supporting cost savings and lead time reduction initiatives Cross-functional communication and coordination Excel based cost analysis, including organizing data and summarizing cost impact How to support product testing and validation against performance and quality requirements Creation of technical documentation to support engineering activities as needed How to present findings and recommendations to leadership
