About The Position

Utilize Continuous Improvement tools/methodology to collect, assess, and analyze manufacturing performance data and workflows. To develop and deploy Lean Six Sigma solutions that improve manufacturing processes. The job role will help to improve manufacturing efficiencies by reducing waste and variation within BacT production.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must currently be enrolled in a degree program, Associates, Bachelor's or Master's working towards a Science or Engineering degree.
  • Previous manufacturing experience desired.
  • Functional skills including critical thinking, adaptability, time management, communication, problem-solving and digital literacy.
  • Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
  • Analyze data and make decisions/recommendations, using data to guide decision-making and provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Effective and efficient problem analysis that leads to high-quality decisions.
  • Ability to cooperate with others at all levels including leadership.
  • Easily accessible and open to communication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform process flow mapping in key areas of production.
  • Analyze and interpret flow mapping results with an emphasis on determining value add/non-value add activities.
  • Utilize Lean tools such as line balancing, takt time, process maps, spaghetti diagrams, current/future state, 8 forms of waste.
  • Recommend changes to manufacturing process flow in order to reduce waste and variation.
  • Learn basic Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.
