This position is based at the Integration Center in Las Vegas, within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Group. The AME group is responsible for researching and implementing the use of advanced technology in manufacturing operations. They develop efficient systems, processes, and machines that result in high-quality assembled products. They may also take into account how manufacturing processes impact the environment, worker ergonomics, and safety. The internship lasts 10 weeks and will start in early June and end in Mid-August. Candidates will be required to prepare and submit a project report at the end of the 10 weeks. The internship offers a flat per hour stipend capped at 40 hours per week and does not offer any other benefits or allowances. Candidates will be required to arrange their own housing and transport. What You'll Do Engage in a 8-week fulltime onsite project at the Las Vegas Integration Center (LVIC). Assist existing engineering staff in various engineering tasks building electrical test equipment. Create and improve work instructions related to electrical testing procedures. Learn to use general assembly tools and use best practices in putting Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs) together. Understand usage of Bill of Materials, Team Center and their role in new product introduction. Support engineers in engineering change management tasks while understanding change management processes. Utilize Python or Microsoft PowerApps to develop process improvement tools.
