About The Position

Our Compliance and Ethics team, a division of the Office of General Counsel, is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options. Compliance professionals play a pivotal role in ensuring companies and organizations operate in full compliance with legal regulations and industry-specific guidelines. They also monitor internal policies and bylaws. In the event of regulatory risks or misconduct, compliance officers address concerns and find solutions to these challenges. The growing demand for compliance jobs reflects the increasing regulatory environment and the need for organizations to demonstrate ethical practices.

Requirements

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • 0-2 years of professional working experience
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while remaining focused and organized
  • Curious and ready to learn a variety of different functions and projects.
  • Understands commonly employed techniques for quantitative analysis
  • Able to work independently with guidance and direction as appropriate
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiar with database concepts
  • Basic level of programming in any of the following: SAS, SQL, VBA, R, PYTHON or JAVA.
  • Basic understanding and usage of Power BI, Power Automate, Sharepoint, and Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

  • Provide a wide range of support on various compliance related functions in partnership with the Compliance team
  • Leverage visualization tools to prepare reports for business and Compliance leadership.
  • Participate in special compliance projects as requested.
  • Design and implement solutions to move manual processes to automated and repeatable Compliance processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate analytical support to team, ensures results are validated to ensure accuracy
  • Participate in the development of innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open-mindedness, using existing information to its fullest potential
  • Assist in developing tools, processes and analysis in support of business growth and business needs
  • Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
