About The Position

The Compliance Intern position at the New York City Comptroller's Office is designed for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in compliance and asset management. The role involves processing and analyzing submissions related to ethics and compliance, contributing to operational due diligence for private market investments, and supporting the Bureau of Asset Management in achieving its goals of financial integrity and accountability within the city government.

Requirements

  • Matriculation at an accredited college.
  • Continuance as a student in college is required for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and analyzing the 300+ investment manager and consultant submissions of the Annual Ethics & Compliance Questionnaire.
  • Reviewing the forms carefully for completeness, adding the information to the BAM database, and performing data analysis on the aggregated results.
  • Assisting BAM Compliance on our operational due diligence for all private market investments being presented/diligenced during the interns' tenure.
