Students will enhance their existing skill set by learning strategies to improve communities by conducting health education workshops, developing, and implementing outreach strategies to specific racial ethnic minority communities, and creating culturally competent resources that can be utilized by these communities to prevent or manage cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and stroke. The American Heart Association's Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization. The Association offers many resources to help you maintain work-life harmonization through your changing needs and life situations. Internship Overview: Time Commitment: 25 hours per week Internship Duration: 1/26/26-5/1/26 Location: Palm Beach County. Ability to travel to Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast for community events.
