Interns will deepen their knowledge of a global consumer brand, directly support the efforts of employee and public communications teams, and gain exposure to other departments, partners, and experiences. The Delta Communications internship will include an introduction to the Delta culture and operation, including exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to the inner workings of a global airline. Interns will be fully integrated into the Communications team, where they will shadow and support internal and external communications campaigns. They will have direct interaction with Delta personnel who work in various capacities, including airports, operations, on-board, behind the scenes, and in high-level leadership positions. The Communications teams are seeking eight full-time interns for the Summer of 2024. Each intern will be assigned to support specific teams based on their skillset, interests, and aspirations. The teams include Content and Platforms, where interns will support content management and publishing on Delta's employee channel and public news website, develop multi-format storytelling efforts, and collaborate with the Platforms team. In Policy Communications, interns will develop assets and communications for media and government stakeholders, interact with Delta's policy and government affairs teams, and assist in strategic communications efforts. In Media Relations and Brand Reputation, interns will support strategies that shape Delta's positioning and reputation, handle media inquiries, and assist in media event staffing. In Customer Experience and Commercial Communications, interns will support communications programs that build Delta's reputation as a customer-centric airline. Lastly, in Employee Communications, interns will support the overall employee communications strategy, storytelling campaigns, and corporate announcements, contributing to the development of communications strategies that strengthen Delta's employer brand across internal audiences.
