About The Position

The Commerce Trust intern will assist various departments (Financial Planning, Institutional, Private Client, Private Banking, Portfolio Management, Business Development, Foundation) by collaborating directly with key members from each group. The internship will entail short rotations through each department throughout the Internship period. The intern may sit in on internal team meetings, shadow and/or receive one-on-one time with team members to get a better understanding of their job responsibilities, help with any requests or small projects that team has, and if appropriate attend client meetings. The intern will also concentrate on a few key projects that they will work closely with the departments assigning them. Examples of key projects may consist of working with our sales teams on setting up a systematic drip campaign management system and checklist, a financial planning research project, a project to review account details with our internal teams, and a project that incorporates the filing of trust documents. The intern will also assist, as needed, with any general support within Commerce Trust which could include preparing presentations/books for meetings, prospect spreadsheet assistance/research, mass mailings, support for events, etc. The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and will run for 11 weeks, ending on Friday, July 31, 2026. Internships are paid, full-time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong collaborator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High School Diploma with progression towards a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 0+ years’ experience required
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
