The Opportunity Perform data exploration, cleaning, preprocessing, and visualization using Python. Develop and evaluate baseline machine learning models (e.g., classification/regression) using scikit-learn when applicable. Query, validate, and summarize datasets using SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY). Produce clear documentation and communicate progress, findings, and tradeoffs. Deliver reproducible project outputs (e.g., notebook/app + documentation) and present results to stakeholders. We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $15.50 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
  • Comfortable writing and debugging Python scripts and working in Jupyter Notebooks (or similar).
  • Basic understanding of statistics (mean/median, standard deviation, distributions).
  • Basic understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering, including generation, common limitations (bias/hallucination), and practical prompt-design techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic SQL querying and aggregations.
  • Strong communication skills, curiosity, and ability to work independently with mentorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Streamlit or dashboard development experience preferred.
  • Version control fundamentals using Git/GitHub preferred.
