About The Position

HF Sinclair is seeking a Cloud Engineer Intern for summer 2026 located in Dallas, TX. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud technologies, primarily within Microsoft Azure, while contributing to real-world projects that support our digital transformation initiatives. As part of our team, you’ll work alongside professionals in Digital Platform & Connectivity, Identity & Access Management, Field Operations, and Digital Workplace, gaining exposure to a broad spectrum of enterprise IT functions while learning the following: Exposure to enterprise-scale Azure environments, hands-on experience with cloud governance, security, and identity management, mentorship from experienced professionals in infrastructure, operations, and digital workplace technologies, and participation in team stand-ups, planning sessions, and project reviews.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to AI, analytics, or programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing Azure resources (e.g., VMs, storage, networking).
• Support cloud migration and modernization efforts.
• Participate in automation and scripting tasks using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.
• Help monitor and optimize cloud performance and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Document processes, configurations, and learnings for knowledge sharing.
• Work with hybrid enterprise systems supporting IT Infrastructure.
• Complete special assignments or tasks assigned by their superior.
