About the Role: This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2026. Resume review begins in February 2026. Biogen’s Health Literacy & Plain Language Center of Excellence (CoE) is seeking a motivated intern in to support various initiatives designed to transform Biogen into a “health literate” organization that disseminates consistent, understandable, and accessible messaging to our patients and the public. The intern selected for this opportunity will learn and apply health literacy and plain language principles to real projects, gaining practical experience in translating complex, scientific jargon into understandable, patient-forward messaging. The intern will also have the opportunity to learn about the various parts of the clinical trial process, how Biogen conducts clinical trials, and will also gain exposure to collaboration across different functions in clinical operations. In this role, the intern will also learn the essentials of controlled process documentation and other tasks that relate to scalable implementation. This person will be an important part of our team and directly contribute to our team’s success in 2026. What You’ll Do: As a CoE intern, you will have the opportunity to learn how certain functions in clinical operations at Biogen can and should work together, especially those that create patient-facing materials. The intern will work closely with the CoE, as well as members of a cross-functional working group that encompasses Clinical Trial Transparency (CTT), Informed Consent Management (ICM), and Patient Centricity & Engagement (PCE). Business need will drive the available opportunities at the time of the internship. Additionally, intern interest will help inform the identification of the final project. Potential project opportunities may include: Assist in mapping and analyzing current function-specific processes as they relate to the creation of patient-facing content. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure alignment on any new initiatives. Participate in planning meetings and strengthen project management skills. Document learnings and propose recommendations for process improvements. Who You Are: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date. Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship.
