About The Position

The department of Clinical & Manufacturing Sciences (CMS) in Clayton has an 8-to-12-week summer intern project to implement and streamline an established system of maintaining KPIs related to manufacturing support projects. The intern will be responsible for adopting an established KPI system and evaluating the system for improved efficiency (monitor most important indicators while minimizing FTE commitment to maintain the system). The manufacturing support indicators will be related to manufacturing quality systems such as deviation support and change management. Secondary tasks associated with this project will include the enhancement of laboratory operations. For example, tasks may include establishing deviation investigation templates, developing a laboratory inventory and restocking process for common materials and consumables, harmonizing analytical test instruments, and developing equipment replacement criteria to support capital expenditure requests. This internship will provide exposure to KPIs and laboratory operations within a Biopharma process development organization and give the incumbent an opportunity to present their work and experience at the conclusion of their internship.
