What you'll be challenged to do:During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship by experienced engineers and professionals with your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A demonstrated interest in civil/site, aviation, or transportation engineering through coursework, internships, or project experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering and design principles.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative and organization.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
- Prior internship or academic experience with stormwater design, grading, or site layout.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, design, and construction documentation of civil infrastructure projects for clients such as airports, utilities, and municipalities.
- Prepare basic engineering drawings, sketches, and layouts using CAD and related design software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project design and coordination.
- Support the preparation of material quantities, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with report preparation.
- Contribute to a positive team culture and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving.
