About The Position

Aquatech is a global leader in water purification systems technology for both industrial and infrastructure markets located in the United States and internationally. We support our clients with sustainable water purification systems and technologies that are solving the worlds water scarcity challenges. Aquatech has an immediate need for a fulltime Chemical Engineering Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office this summer to support Engineering group. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a Non Exempt employee.

Requirements

• Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate courses in Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Familiarity with water purification processes e.g. Membrane separation, Chemical Softening etc. desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Get on-the-job training while supporting an experienced Applications Engineer.
• Perform water treatment proposal preparation.
• Review Request for Proposal (RFP).
• Perform process calculations involving heat and mass balance.
• Size water treatment processes and equipment.
• Help review Process Flow diagram (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) and equipment layout drawings.
• Follow up for vendor quotations for major equipment and commodity items.
