Intern - Cell Therapy

About the position

As the Biotechnology Research Intern, you will participate on characterization of bioreactors, and novel sensing platforms for cell therapy applications. In collaboration with the research team, the candidate will run systematic experiments using bioreactors, and perform data acquisition and data analysis. As part of our team in Boston area, we are seeking a highly motivated intern with background in chemical and/or bioengineering.

Responsibilities

• Run systematic experiments on bench-top bioreactors and novel sensor platforms, collect and analyze the data.
• Perform mammalian cell culture including Tcells and stem cells in biosafety 1 level.
• Perform microscopy and process the images.
• Test/analyze novel sensing platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues with experimental design and execution.
• Summarize data, interpret results, and format data for reporting via presentation or publication.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Masters, or PhD in bioengineering, biomedical, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on laboratory work and cell culture experience.
• Data analysis and image processing skills.
• Strong desire to work on multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly.
• Willingness to go above and beyond and take on new challenges.
• Strong oral and written presentation skills.
