About The Position

Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern – CAD Technician for 2026. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA. MISSION Support the production of all aspects of signaling design in accordance with industry and company standards

Requirements

Microsoft Products: Word and Excel and Outlook
Must have one of the following:
Microstation (preferred)
AutoCAD
Languages: Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Learn and follow through on Hitachi cad standards
Participate in the drawing management process including the production of CAD drafting of electrical and mechanical designs
Update and alter drawings as requested, for designers and for customer submittals
Support the preparation of detailed design documentation and specifications and the preparation of System configuration and interconnection of system components for signaling schemes
Participate in the control of all documents in accordance with company IMS processes and the Configuration Management system
Learning EWS, file management, INS 403
Work in a team
Basic cad skills
Cad errors / rework
Recieves training
Communicates well
Completion of the drawings on time according to project schedule
