Preferred Qualifications Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Engineering discipline, working towards a BS. This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE. Job Summary- This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE. The overall roll of the Continuous Improvement Intern will be to learn and practice using Lean/Six Sigma concepts with additional time spent supporting functions within Operations Analysis. Some duties will be as follows: Assist with 5S events and follow up actions. Assist with data entry linked to performance metrics. Assist with exploring new data creation for new metrics. Create planning and instruction for data collection. Utilize skills to sort through data and create macros for analysis. Create requisitions to purchase items. Some data analysis in Minitab as needed. Corrective and/or Preventative Action projects as assigned. Assist with updating monthly cost savings metrics and postings. Advanced Database, Excel, and Access skills recommended. Familiarity with statistics is a plus. Time studies to verify cycle time improvements.
