About The Position

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business. The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of undergraduate coursework in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Understanding of the Income Statement and financial concepts through coursework or prior experiences
  • Eager to learn, positive attitude, highly motivated
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, or the willingness to learn and improve
  • Excellent communication skills - can effectively and accurately in writing and presentations
  • Demonstrate Sephora values of Passion for Client Service, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect for All, Teamwork, and Initiative

Responsibilities

  • Support Sephora North America Real Estate and IT Finance through monthly analytical exercises
  • Dive into current processes and analysis tools to look for ways to improve and streamline processes
  • Provide ad hoc support and analysis on Real Estate/IT/CapEx finance deliverables
  • Present learnings to Finance leadership on an on-going basis and prior to the end of the internship
  • Partner with Finance (including Accounting and other BP&A members) and Departmental business partners to effectively manage all finance activities
  • Utilize Financial Systems (Anaplan, SAP, Finario & others) and Excel to improve financial reports and models
  • Help narrate the story behind the numbers
  • Network with industry leaders and peers
  • Get exposure to cross-functional teams
