About The Position

As a Business Operations Intern at Rockwell Automation, you will work with a team of industry professionals in various areas including Lean Six Sigma Project Management and Product Data Management. You will be involved in managing and facilitating Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement projects aimed at enhancing key business metrics such as product cost reduction, productivity, quality, and customer experience objectives within the Sensing, Safety, & Industrial Components (SIC) business. This internship is crucial for improving Rockwell Automation's systemic improvement capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will assist in implementing and maintaining the product lifecycle management system and participate in data analysis and root cause analysis activities. The internship also includes hosted activities and events designed to help you grow your network, develop professional skills, and immerse yourself in the company culture. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI, and does not offer relocation assistance, prioritizing local students before considering applicants willing to relocate without assistance.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required; no visa sponsorship available.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Quality, Materials, or Operations.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or six sigma concepts.
  • Previous marketing experience in an industrial automation or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lean Six Sigma Project Managers in planning and facilitating continuous improvement projects.
  • Support product lifecycle management system implementation and maintenance.
  • Conduct data analysis and update data records as part of continual improvement activities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Engage in networking and professional development activities organized by the company.
