About The Position

The American Bankers Association (ABA) is seeking a Summer Intern for the duration of June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026. This internship offers undergraduate students (Rising Junior or Senior) a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. Interns will engage in substantial work across various divisions, connect with leadership, build a network, and contribute to meaningful projects. The internship is hybrid, requiring at least 2 days a week in the DC office, with a pay rate of $25/hour for full-time work (37.5 hours per week).

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of sales processes and how to identify potential growth opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer service and marketing support.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in email communication.
• Ability to interact with customers and partners professionally and effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and possibly Smartsheet and CRM tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Major Field of Study: Marketing, Sales, Communications, PR preferred, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Business Development team.
• Research competing conferences and gather relevant information.
• Assist in customer service activities related to event fulfillment for conferences and digital advertisers.
• Support marketing efforts aimed at enhancing the exhibitor/sponsor/advertiser visibility and engagement.
