About The Position

Pima County's Finance and Risk Management Department seeks a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join its Budget Division. The successful candidate will work in a team environment, learning the day-to-day responsibilities of developing, analyzing, and maintaining Pima County’s annual budget. The candidate will gain experience providing support to County departments in the budget development process, and the compilation of revenue and expenditure forecasts used to monitor and analyze the budgets. They will also gain experience using the County's financial accounting and budgeting systems to perform data analysis. If you want to develop your skills and gain valuable experience while working in a team-oriented environment, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. NOTE: This internship position is in-person and in-office. This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate from or currently a sophomore, junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.
