Intern, Bridge Assessment Engineer This is a full-time summer internship lasting from May 11, 2026, until August 28, 2026. Job Summary The Intern, Bridge Assessment Engineer is responsible for providing field and office support to the Bridge Quality Supervisor and Bridge Quality Manager. This role involves assisting with bridge and culvert inspections, preparing inspection reports, and updating bridge and culvert inventory data.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project)
  • Ability to work safely in various environments.
  • Ability to undertake multiple travel assignments involving 5- or 8-day duration
  • High School Diploma.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Any construction trade certificate or related experience/skills will be considered an asset.
  • Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote safe work practices in all activities.
  • Participate in joint field inspections across the Region alongside Bridge Inspectors.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting inspection reports for bridges and culverts.
  • Update bridge and culvert inventory data using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work safely in various environments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and World).
  • Ability to undertake multiple travel assignments involving 5- or 8-day duration
