About The Position

HLK is looking for Brand Planner interns for our Summer 2026 Launchpad Internship Program. Sure, we want to work with talented people. That’s a given. But that’s not all. We also want to work with talented people who are driven. Those who know that “good enough” is never good enough. Those who don’t just say that something won’t work, but bring a solution, too. We want interns that really want to understand and get experience in the advertising business. A Brand Planner is the starting point for discovering ideas that change behavior and drive success for our clients’ brands. We are not just looking for interns, but thinkers, who are creatively curious, have an instinct for a good story and the confidence to challenge conventional thinking. In this role, you’ll collaborate across all disciplines within the agency, helping to bring clarity, focus, and, most importantly, inspiration to the creative process. You’ll play a key part in helping to shape the brand positioning, uncover valuable insights, and guide the development of ideas, campaigns, content, and experiences. Trust us, you're going to be doing some real work and gaining some real experience! Our 6-week internship program will offer a challenging and rewarding real-life work environment within an innovative and dynamic advertising agency. This is an opportunity for you to work closely with your team on two agency projects, from brief to pitch. Requirements

  • Rising Junior, Senior or May 2026 graduate
  • Majoring in marketing, journalism, communications, PR, advertising, design or other related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay busy even during times of ambiguity
  • Social media savvy
  • Make effective decisions under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Able to articulate a point of view at any given time on the industry, brand, consumer, or communications you are working on
  • Collect data on competitors and the market, and assist in presenting/reporting that information as actionable strategies for the brand
  • Participate in creating consumer journeys, brand positioning, brand identity and messaging
  • Help review and provide feedback on creative materials
