About The Position

Blueprint Medicines, a Sanofi company, is a global, fully integrated biopharmaceutical company that invents life-changing medicines. In this ~12-week summer program, the intern will work on applied statistics topics related to clinical development. Potential project topics include, but not limited to, clinical trial study designs, clinical data collection, data review and cleaning, and statistical methodologies and considerations typically used in analysis. The intern will summarize and give a short presentation of their work at the conclusion of the internship. This intern position is for the biostatistics team within the Biostatistics and Data Management department. Projects and responsibilities will be crafted along one or multiple of the following key areas based on interest and business needs: Learn about different study designs and considerations in clinical trials based on FDA guidance. Learn about how data is collected, processed, reviewed, cleaned, and analyzed in clinical trials, as well as the statistical methodologies used for these analyses. Learn about the roles of biostatisticians and their relationships to other roles in the context of clinical development. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Blueprint’s summer internship program is ~12 weeks long. The program is designed to provide students with deep functional expertise within their department and a broad understanding of the life sciences industry. Interns are paired with dedicated mentors for personalized learning and career development guidance. The program includes lunch and learn sessions, networking events, an intern volunteer day, and other networking opportunities. It culminates in a final poster presentation where interns showcase their work.
Blueprint’s offices are a business casual environment. Business casual means attire that is professional but also relaxed, such as slacks or business dress pants, skirts/dresses, khakis, chinos, or dark jeans without holes paired with button-down shirts, sweaters, blouses, or polo shirts and closed-toed shoes. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program and have passed the PhD qualification exam in Statistics or Biostatistics from an accredited university.
• Great knowledge of R and/or SAS.
