About The Position

The Aviation Maintenance Intern supports the Maintenance Department in ensuring company aircraft are maintained in a safe, compliant, and airworthy condition. This position offers hands-on exposure to aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and regulatory compliance in a Part 91 corporate flight environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Federal Administration Regulations and industry standards.
  • Enrolled in an FAA-approved A&P program or recent graduate.
  • Possesses valid Federal Aviation Maintenance (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic License. (Recommended, A&P certification projected completion by January 2027).
  • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Knowledgeable of basic aircraft maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiar with basic hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to travel Domestically if required.
  • Flexibility to accommodate flight schedules beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist A&P Technicians with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Support pre-flight, post-flight, and periodic inspections on aircraft systems, engines, airframe, avionics, and other critical components.
  • Assist A&P technicians with component removals and installations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components to ensure readiness for flight.
  • Help pilots and crew, addressing any needs or concerns during ground operations.
  • Support senior technicians in performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Learn to utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Receive on the job training to become familiar with basic tasks, methods, procedures, and tools common to a corporate aviation flight department.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate aircraft maintenance records in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Adhere to applicable policies and procedures outlined in the Company’s Aviation Operations Manual and Ground Maintenance Manual.
  • Performs additional duties to support operational objectives.
