Aquarion Water Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eversource.Job SummaryOur Supply Operations department is looking for two interns. Principal Responsibilities Support the SCADA Engineering team in all activities which can involve configuring and programming protective relays, automation controllers, and SCADA systems. Assist the engineers in working with SCADA system to build process workflows, prepare P&ID drawings and help with replacing equipment in the network. Working with the Engineering team to perform regularly scheduled activities The intern can expect to develop or enhance their knowledge of large-scale SCADA, water treatment & distribution, and project management skills in automation. The intern will be exposed to the operations of large water systems as well as the operation and maintenance of assets in the utility industry.

Requirements

  • Must have an interest in automating processes
  • Must be willing to learn control systems applications in water and wastewater systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Above average analytical ability
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university engineering program.
  • Must have completed an introductory course in electrical engineering and power/automation/control engineering.
