Our Portland office is seeking an experienced Project Architect to become a key member of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration abilities, along with knowledge in K-12 educational architecture. We are looking for a motivated team player who is organized, detail-oriented, design-focused, and capable of delivering high-quality work while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assists in the preparation of Architectural designs and drawings including preliminary concepts and sketches
  • Assists with preliminary analysis of codes and other regulatory requirements
  • Assists in the preparation of permit submission packages
  • Assists with basic coordination of consultant activity
  • Assists with preparation and revision of construction drawings
  • Research building products for value and efficiency
  • Assists with the review of working drawings prepared by in-house staff or outside consultants
  • Prepares revisions to existing working drawings and other documents prepared by staff and/or outside consultants
  • Administers and maintains all project files and drawings
  • Assists with the preparation of presentations, graphics
  • May participate in client presentations
  • May participate in marketing and business development efforts
  • Bachelor/Master of Architecture from an NCARB accredited institution
  • Recent graduate, or up to 3 years' experience in an Architectural Design firm
  • Strong technical competency, proficient in Revit and SketchUp
  • Knowledge of Educational Architecture, specifically K-12, preferred
