About The Position

Dekker is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Intern Architect to join our Healthcare studio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of architectural projects, gaining hands-on experience in all phases of design, from concept development to project implementation. As an Intern Architect, you will collaborate closely with senior architects and other team members, contributing your skills to a variety of tasks including assisting in the creation of construction documents and related specifications, preparation of conceptual renderings, drafting and 3D visualization support. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow their knowledge in architecture and gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Requirements

• Masters of Arts or Science in Architecture or Equivalent
• 1+ year of hands-on experience using Revit in practical applications and project work
• Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Applicants must live in the Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, NM or El Paso, TX area

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively engages in project work with responsibilities as assigned
• Prepares scaled drawings and contract documents using primarily Revit
• Researches and identifies products (finishes, fixtures, etc.)
• Researches codes and other standards as necessary for compliance
• Assists in the preparation of studies, reports, and presentations
• Creates diagrams/layouts during schematic design and demonstrates ability to arrange a unified design
• Joins team members for onsite observation of work during CA to monitor compliance with plans
• Assists in proper organization of project files
• Provides general drafting and visualization support while following Dekker standards
• Identifies and communicates progress, accomplishments, challenges, and support needed to complete responsibilities
