Rockstar NYC is on the lookout for students who are committed to keeping our games and services fun for our players. This is a paid, fixed term contract position running for 10 weeks from June 2026 to mid-August 2026, with the expectation of a 40-hour work week. The successful candidate will work in Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. The Rockstar Security team is responsible for advancing the state of information security across the company globally by prioritizing and executing security initiatives that drive down risk. We strive to understand the threat landscape affecting our development studios, the gaming industry, and the world at large. We lead efforts to build enterprise security controls ranging from endpoint protection technologies to security incident and event monitoring solutions. We have a passion for identifying threats and coming up with clever solutions to mitigate those risks.

Requirements

  • This internship is intended for undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates who have completed coursework in computer science, cybersecurity, security operations, security engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages, including C++, C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript/Typescript.
  • DevSecOps experience.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of using LLMs for the purpose of security testing
  • Experience with pentesting or reverse engineering.
  • Familiarity with Rockstar products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with building out workflows to support secure software development lifecycle improvements.
  • Automate security effectively across the entire SDLC.
  • Support R&D efforts within the security team.
  • Achieve well-scoped goals based on guidance and support from Leads and team members.
