About The Position

Our goal is to create excellent learning experience for anyone interested in accounting, finance or general management in the agronomy, general agriculture, or precision agriculture industry between the months of May and August. This internship is tailored to the interests of the intern and their experience level to maximize learning experience. Your experience as an intern will cater to individual interests and strengths. The internship will be hands-on, real world working experience.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Ag Economics, or another Ag Management related field with Accounting minor.
• Overall GPA 3.0 or better.
• Completion of at least two accounting and or finance related courses, preferred.
• Experience with excel and Power BI software packages, preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with the corporate accounting department on accounting support activities, as needed.
• Assist Controllers in performing accounting tasks and ad hoc financial analysis projects.
• Identify a manual, inefficient accounting process and formulate a solution that would provide operational efficiencies.
• Contribute to the preparation of the next fiscal budget, including forecasting, estimation and template administration.
• Attend meetings with Controllers and divisional leaders or staff if available.
• Develop firsthand understanding of the processes and procedures required to support the accounting and financial needs of a company with a significant number of locations and complexity.
