About The Position

Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry. Program Dates: June 1, 2026 to August 21, 2026. Position Purpose: In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the Controllership group in the Finance organization. You will gain exposure to regulatory and accounting processes while supporting the teams in their day to day as well as month end and regulatory priorities. You will rotate within the various teams to obtain a broad understanding of the function of the Controllership group within the Finance organization. Internships at Veolia: Gain hands-on experience in at least one career function from Corporate, Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain or Technology.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Working towards a four year degree and you have Senior status in a finance or accounting major.
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A is required.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in month end accounting and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with various teams on process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Assist with the accounts payables processes.
  • Perform key account analysis and/or prepare account reconciliations.
  • Shadow key team members during rotations to understand roles and responsibilities.
  • Attend department meetings and training sessions.
