We are seeking an enthusiastic, fast-learning Accounting & Financial Reporting Intern to join our Finance team for the Fall semester, with potential extension. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, quarterly earnings preparation, and SEC compliance at a public company. You'll work closely with our broader accounting team, contributing to critical processes while developing valuable technical and professional skills.

Requirements

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a major, minor or concentration in Accounting
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; confident knowledge of financial functions
• Interest in public company financial reporting
• Proximity to our home office in Old City, Philadelphia

Responsibilities

• Monthly Financial Close
• Create and distribute the monthly financial reporting package
• Perform account reconciliations
• Conduct monthly variance analyses
• Assist with preparation of the annual Form 10-K and quarterly 10-Q filings
• Contribute to the quarterly Earnings Release process, including reviewing and preparing executive remarks
• Support the KPMG quarterly review and annual audit process
• Create and enhance reporting functions within Hyperion
• Support enhancements and optimizations to the financial reporting process
• Identify and document opportunities for improved efficiency in reporting workflows
• Assist with journal entries and reporting within internal systems (Workiva, Hyperion)
• Contribute to Internal Controls Compliance activities
• Participate in other ad-hoc accounting projects and analyses as needed
