What You Will Do Support the development and execution of an Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) incorporation framework within Technical Publications. This role will focus on operational research, workflow analysis, use case definition, and integration planning to support modernization of technical data processes in a controlled, compliance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into structured requirements
  • Interest in AI/ML applications in industrial or engineering environments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with process mapping and workflow analysis
  • Exposure to data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar)
  • Understanding of structured data concepts (XML or similar)
  • Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-driven engineering environment
  • Strong project management, time management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Conduct workflow analysis across Technical Publications processes to identify high-friction and high-impact AI use case opportunities
  • Develop AI Use Case Briefs including problem definition, baseline metrics, and measurable success criteria
  • Support data readiness assessments including structured (XML/S1000D) and unstructured technical data evaluation
  • Assist in defining human-in-the-loop review workflows for AI-assisted processes
  • Develop governance documentation including risk assessments, control frameworks, and audit considerations
  • Partner with engineering, quality assurance, and technical publications stakeholders to gather requirements and validate operational needs
  • Create and track pilot performance metrics including cycle time, rework rate, and defect reduction
