About The Position

You will utilize ODOT data collection vehicles to travel throughout the state to collect pavement surface characteristic data and ride quality data.
You will work with other departmental units, outside agencies and consultants to provide data collection and reporting.
You will support construction oversight by collecting and analyzing road profile data to verify contractor compliance with smoothness specifications.
You will serve as a technical resource by responding to internal and external data requests and preparing reports and presentations.

Requirements

• 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in planning & conducting research studies using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques & preparing reports, records &/or technical evaluations related to research conducted.
• Or 12 mos. exp. as Researcher 2, 66922.
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
• Job Skills: Research
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Travels throughout the state approximately 90%25 of the time with most of the trips requiring overnight stays.
• Nightwork up to 10%25.
• This position is 1000 hours maximum.
