About The Position

St. Justin Martyr Catholic School seeks a dedicated and mission‑driven Intermediate Teacher to join our faith‑centered learning community. The ideal candidate fosters academic excellence, supports spiritual formation, and creates a positive, engaging classroom environment for students in grades 4-8. This teacher will partner with families, colleagues, and parish leadership to help students grow intellectually, emotionally, and in their relationship with Christ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Valid state teaching certification appropriate for intermediate grades.
  • Knowledge of Catholic education, with willingness to support and model the mission of the Church.
  • Strong instructional, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional and spiritual growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess standards‑based lessons in core subject areas appropriate for intermediate learners.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction, classroom culture, and student interactions.
  • Utilize differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs and promote student success.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and responsibility.
  • Assess student progress using a variety of formal and informal methods; communicate results clearly to students and parents.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive, consistent, and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to plan curriculum, coordinate activities, and support school initiatives.
  • Incorporate technology effectively to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and student documentation as required by the school and Archdiocese.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, faith‑formation opportunities, and community‑building activities.
  • Communicate regularly with families to build strong partnerships that support student learning and well‑being.
