About The Position

The Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation features an expansive coalition of schools that allow our children to develop a sense of purpose and value, receive a higher quality education, join a welcoming community and feel secure in a dynamic future. The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us. The Intermediate Teacher is responsible for creating a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment for students in the intermediate grades. This role emphasizes strong instruction, positive classroom management, and collaboration with colleagues, families, and parish staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
  • Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain one)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based educational setting

Nice To Haves

  • Previous intermediate-level teaching experience preferred
  • Practicing Catholic with knowledge of and respect for Church teachings
  • Commitment to the spiritual, academic, and social development of students
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with diocesan and state curriculum
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
  • Assess student learning and communicate progress regularly with families
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings
