Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience
  • Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Food safety certification preferred
  • Standing for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs
  • Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid, and high-noise environments

Responsibilities

  • Work a designated station efficiently during prep and service
  • Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and specifications
  • Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Demonstrate proper heating, cooling, labeling, and FIFO practices
  • Work at a fast pace in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment
  • Multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail
  • Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to contribute each shift
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Set up and stock station with all required ingredients and supplies
  • Take inventory and assist in determining prep needs
  • Requisition items needed for service
  • Communicate potential shortages to culinary leadership
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Properly operate and clean kitchen equipment
  • Open and close stations according to established procedures
  • Promote a positive and respectful kitchen culture
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service
  • Participate in team meetings and trainings
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by kitchen leadership
