Please visit our website: www.surbanajurong.com The Opportunity We are seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our Seattle studio, focusing on corporate workspace projects. You will work collaboratively on all phases of design—from concept development to documentation and construction administration—bringing creativity, technical expertise, and attention to detail to every project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline (required).
  • NCIDQ certification attained or in progress.
  • 5–7 years of experience with a recognized interior design or architectural firm, preferably in corporate workplace projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
  • LEED Green Associate certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design-driven projects in workplace, hospitality, or healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills; positive attitude and passion for design.

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal contract/security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative, high-quality design concepts aligned with client objectives and project requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings to understand goals, needs, and resources; contribute to presentations and design discussions.
  • Prepare space plans and design development drawings that meet functional, aesthetic, and code requirements.
  • Produce detailed construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications, using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Research and recommend finishes, furnishings, and materials; assist with procurement and installation coordination.
  • Support permit and tender applications; assist with construction administration through project close-out.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to ensure technical and design alignment.
  • Manage tasks independently while working within a team structure; seek guidance when needed and respond to feedback constructively.
  • Mentor and support junior designers as appropriate.
