About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Intermediate Counterintelligence Officer to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in the Denver, CO area. Responsibilities Serves as Counterintelligence Officer (CIO), specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Conducting CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex. Works closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities. Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility. Provides case-related updates to the Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), facilities senior management and other DOE CI executives. Provides CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats. Serve as primary point of contact with scientific community departments within the DOE complex for the purpose of proactively mitigating foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a CI Officer/agent conducting typical CI program activities to include CI inquiries and/or espionage investigations.
  • Must have experience as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques.
  • Must have demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Must have functional computer literacy and be proficient in common computer and network applications.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master’s Degree is desirable.
