About The Position

The position involves being a key member of the operations team providing 24X7X365 onsite support for data centers and technical infrastructure. The role requires performing cable installations and removals, coordinating equipment installations and decommissioning, monitoring environmental factors in the data center, logging hardware and software problems, and providing off-hours support.

Requirements

• Technical school or associate degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years of data processing environment) required.
• Working knowledge of the production layered applications required.
• Working knowledge of all the computer systems, both hardware and software required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree or related experience preferred.
• One year experience in computer operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24X7X365 onsite support of the data centers and technical infrastructure.
• Perform cable installations and removals in accordance with cable management best practices and BISD change policy.
• Coordinate and participate in equipment installations and decommissioning.
• Monitor, measure, record, and trend all data center environmental factors.
• Ensure that all hardware and software problems are logged and the appropriate people are notified.
• Provide off hours (Service Desk) support.
